It's a BOY!!!

It was SO exciting to see our newest little addition yesterday.  I could have layed there all day starring at him.  Watching his little heart beating, watching him flipped around, suck on his little hands, smile at us and give us a thumbs up.  He layed with his little feet crossed for a good portion of the exam.  That was until the tech said she needed him to uncross them so she could measure them.  Such a good little boy, he uncrossed them and she was able to get her final measurements.   Everything is measuring right where he should be and  looks really healthy.  We are so blessed!   Oh and his feet measured out to be just about 1".  So teeny, tiny!!

The kids loved being able to see their newest sibling on the giant screen in the ultrasound room.  I am SO glad they were there because as soon as they saw him it seemed that all their desires for a little sister just faded.  They were really excited when the tech announced it was a boy.  It was such a fun experience!

And now unto naming this little guy.  There is one of the top 3 names we both still really like that was on our list with Bryson and that is Kaden.  The other one was Cole but I think we have both crossed that one off.  We also both like the name Jackson.  Those are the only 2 in the running right now unless you ask Bryson who really wants to add Squishy, Lady and Bugs Bunny to the list.   Or if you ask Carson who today told me he thinks the baby should be named Miniature Carson.  Maddy really wants to name him Kaden so any other name we suggest she will veto.

Off to go check out baby names now...

Teacher Appreciation

This week is teacher appreciation week so to show our thanks to Maddy's teachers for all they do we (o.k., I) put together some little cards.

For her classroom teacher I used this idea from Eighteen25:

And then for her specials teachers (P.E., health, music, library and computers) I used the same type of design and came up with these:

I guess I was really into the green/yellow color scheme that day :)

Maddy has been out of school these last 2 days with croup but hopefully she will make it back by the end of the week to hand these out to her teachers.  It's always fun to show her teachers how much they are appreciated!
